Discover the experience
In Aswan’s granite quarry, an obelisk lies unfinished, still attached to the bedrock. Around it, traces of work let us imagine the effort behind the monuments that later rose in Egypt’s temples. Across the water, Philae opens another chapter: here Isis was honoured as mother of Horus, and her sanctuary remained active long after many older temples had fallen silent. The monuments were moved to another island during the international campaign to save them from rising waters. The dam and a felucca sail bring us back to the river connecting these stories.
